Viarelli NEO-02: a Class 1 electric moped for everyday riding

The Viarelli NEO-02 is a Class 1 electric moped (45 km/h) finished in matt black. It is built for commuting and daily use, with an electric drivetrain that does away with the routine servicing a combustion engine needs.

Motor and drivetrain

Power comes from an integrated brushless DC planetary motor with a maximum output of 2000 W. The motor delivers smooth torque from a standstill, and because it uses direct drive, the drivetrain has fewer moving parts to wear or maintain. A reverse function makes it easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces, and cruise control helps keep a steady pace on longer stretches.

Battery and range

The NEO-02 runs on a 76 V 32 Ah lithium battery with a capacity of 2.42 kWh. The stated range is up to 80 km per charge; actual range depends on riding conditions and load. Lithium technology keeps weight down relative to capacity.

Chassis, suspension and brakes

With a 1300 mm wheelbase and a weight of 78 kg excluding the battery, the NEO-02 is stable without being cumbersome. Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear provide consistent stopping power, while a hydraulic telescopic fork up front and hydraulic rear damping smooth out the road.

Lights and display

LED lighting front and rear helps you see and be seen. The digital LED display shows speed, battery level and distance travelled, making it easy to keep track of when it is time to charge.

Practical details

A seat height of 760 mm gives a comfortable riding position for a range of rider sizes. The NEO-02 is approved to carry one passenger and handles gradients of up to 15°, which suits city riding with hills and slopes.
